Rebecca Bos Bio

Rebecca Jean Bos graduated from the University of Iowa in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Visual Arts Education. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2014, along with her Graduate Certificate from the UI Center for the Book.

 

Since receiving her BA, Rebecca has been actively teaching for a variety of ages, ranging from kindergarten to undergraduate.  Her previous education assignments include Lone Tree Community School District, Minnesota River Valley Special Education Cooperative, New Prague Community School District and the University of Iowa.

 

In her artwork, she enjoys experimenting with a variety of media simultaneously to build rich textural imagery with handmade paper, printmaking, foil imaging, acrylic, fabric and found objects. Her visual concepts often revolve around the passing of time, memory, revisionist history, and personal perception. Outside of teaching, her hobbies include growing tasty heirloom tomatoes, bookbinding and knitting.
